* Member News

1)      Wedding News
Congratulations to Claire and James who tied the knot on 18 June 2017! Thank you for sharing this day with your MCRC family and we wish you many more years of happiness.

2)      Thank you!
Thank you for your prayers for the inaugural State Youth Council Meeting that took place on Saturday 17 June at Redlands CRC! The meeting was very productive and an encouragement to all the Reformed Church representatives who attended!

In the coming months, the Council will share more of what it is planning for 2017, but in the meantime if you'd like to know more about its mission statement and tasks, please don't hesitate to chat to one of our representatives, Gerhard Tromp, Heike Ferns or Marike de Waard.

As one of its first initiatives, the Council has organised a lunch event for young adults on Saturday 22 July in the Brisbane CBD. All young adults (18-25ish) connected to a Reformed Church are very welcome! If you'd like to get more details and be added to the Facebook event, please let Heike, Gerhard or Marike (0424 740 819) know.

* Special Congregational Meeting: MCRC Care Ministry – 28 June (7pm)

On 11 June 2017 the Care Ministry had a meeting to decide on the allocation of funds raised by the Golf Days of 2015, 2016 and 2017. Some concerns were raised by members and Session would like to invite anyone interested in the work of the Care Ministry (and how we reach out to families in distress), to attend a special congregational meeting on Wednesday 28 June at 7pm in the hall.

The purpose of the meeting is to share all relevant information, listen to concerns and answer any questions, as well as to incorporate suggestions, before the Care Ministry makes a final proposal to Session in this regard.

For more information, please contact Barto du Plessis (MCRC Session Chair) on 0434 474 846.

* Worship Songs and Hymns Survey 2017

Earlier this year, the WSW Ministry conducted a survey to find the worship songs and hymns that you, our congregation, find most meaningful to sing. We want to select worship songs for our family services, that help you to articulate what is in your spirit, and offer to God your genuine, heart-felt worship. Here is a list of the top 20 worship songs, and the top 10 hymns, as indicated by you, that best enable you to worship God in Spirit and Truth as we gather for corporate worship every Sunday.

* Biblical Feast – Lost Property

A ring was found during the clean up after the Biblical Feast. If it belongs to you, please contact Rita de Waard on 0414 552 373.
